From fireworks to moonlight
May the truest light align with your season.
This year’s New Year’s fireworks,
were swapped for moonlight under a clear country sky.
I entered 2026 quietly.
After a year that asked for the unexpected - professionally, personally, internally.
I didn’t need resolutions.
I needed restoration.
And what has become both a New Year and birthday ritual, I stepped away into intentional solitude, silence and serenity.
A few days in nature.
An open canvas to explore.
No agenda.
No planning.
Just space.
And it’s in space that something shifts.
For most of my life, momentum has been my language.
New roles.
New countries.
New qualifications.
New adventures.
Growth through motion.
And I wouldn’t change it.
Those experiences shaped me.
They built resilience, perspective, courage.
But last year reminded me of something deeper:
You cannot force what isn’t ready.
Not clarity.
Not outcomes.
Not people.
Not timing.
And exhaustion isn’t weakness. It’s feedback.
In that stillness, I began to see a different story of 2025.
Not what it took from me,
but what it asked to unfold.
It stripped things back.
Control.
Certainty.
The need to prove.
The pressure to perform or move at speed.
What remained was quieter, but stronger. Surrender.
When you realise,
Life moves in seasons.
Growth is not linear.
You can see your path, as the artwork of your life.
Some seasons asks us to leap into adventure and open to new possibilities.
Others ask us to slow down and to listen in to what matters.
For me, 2024 was the leap.
2025 was the listening.
They are not opposites. They are a dance.
I realised 2026 doesn’t need to be louder.
It needs to be truer.
This year isn’t about chasing more.
It’s about building well.
A stable base.
Leadership rooted in alignment.
Trusting my own timing.
Creating from depth, not performance.
My drive isn’t leaving. It’s integrating.
My sense of adventure isn’t disappearing. It’s evolving.
Sometimes the bravest move isn’t acceleration. It’s steadiness.
It’s why my words for 2026 are anchored in:
Grounded. Sovereign. Elevated.
Not louder.
Not faster.
Aligned.
If you’re entering this year feeling behind, uncertain, or quietly rebuilding.
You’re not failing.
You might just be in a season of recalibration.
And recalibration isn’t the end of momentum.
It’s the foundation for alignment.
What is this season, asking to unfold for you?
Whatever comes forward, may it be truly yours.
